hello everybody,
i'm very excited as this is my first post on my very own blog :-)
this weekend's shows were nice, thanks to all the great peole who came out to see them.
thursday the 16th sees us on an airplane to barcelona. that evening we rehearse with a symphony orchestra for a conert the next day. we will be singing three songs, amongst them the aria 'glitter and be gay' from the opera 'candide' by leonard bernstein. fun for me as it's not what i normally do :-) we will also be singing a duet with the phenomenal Joan Manuel Serrat. later on we move to Palma de Mallorca and Madrid, where will be hosting Mira Awad and her band as an opening act ! mira is great. we will also be singing some duets together at the end of my set. hope to see my spanish friends there :-)
take care all.

ReplyDeleteWelcome to the Blogger community... see you very soon in Barcelona.
ReplyDeleteYay!
ReplyDeleteWhen in Turin, Italy?
ReplyDeleteDear friend,
ReplyDeleteyou seem to be very active on the net these days, but it is always so nice to hear/read from you. The layout here is clean and easy to read,... so I joined.
Good luck for Barcelona and other future concerts. Many, many thanks to you, Mira, Gil,and the rest of the "gang" for those lovely moments in Mainz, two weeks ago.
is it possible for you to do the same sort of shows in france? or do I paid you and your crew to make a show on my living room (don't worry my mother and I are a really great cooker ;))LOL I hope you'll have a great time in spain!!! be happy...
ReplyDeleteUnfortunately, I won't be able to join you in any of these concerts, trapped among my job the Film Festival and the Jazz Festival in Donostia; we're attending Jamie Cullum's and... JAMES TAYLOR's concerts!!! But you know, you can join us in Donostia for a good dinner... ;-) I'm sure your concerts and collaborations will be funny and great. I love "Candide" (well, any Leonard Bernstein partiture!). Loveya, Idoia.
ReplyDeleteIt's great to see that you have a blog now!

ReplyDeleteGracias Noa por su concierto en Palma de Mallorca, fué precioso y llenos de emociones.
ReplyDeleteThe problem with the world is as Amos Oz so well points out : fanatism. Noa i come to see you every time you come to Belgium, your 1998 hebrew album changed my life and is still my favourite, the international audience here always agrees passionately with your plan for peace, the hardest wall to crush is undoubtedly man's nature and cynicism. Also certain economic interests in the status quo. Please know that you've got some die-hard supporters of your blatant logic and truth here in Europe. Please continue to write, we will amplify your blog as much as possible. Love, Koen duZwin, 41, living in Knokke Belgium and also on Facebook.
ReplyDeletethank you for you concert! I'm from St. Feliu de Guixols, was fantastic your interpretation of glitter and be gay; I didn't Know the name of the opera, so thanks to your blog I found it.
ReplyDeleteWhat amazing your "repertori", from jazz to opera Fantastic I liked so much. I'll try to find this opera.
